We are searching for 25 social impact leaders under 25 across the Global Majority.

Who Are We're Looking For

We are seeking individuals who are actively leading proven, impactful work.

Please ensure you meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Between 18 to 25 years old as of March 15, 2026.

  • Location: Be a Citizen or Resident of a Global South country, as per the World Bank

    • If you reside outside the Global South or hold dual citizenship, you may apply as a diaspora candidate.

    • Your initiative must directly benefit your country of birth.

    • You must prove at least 5 years of sustained engagement with that cause or community.

  • Initiative Status: Be leading an initiative that is active (operational or piloted), not a concept. It must be engaged in measurable, positive social change and cannot be a purely for-profit venture. We accept only one application per initiative. Teams must coordinate in advance to designate a single representative.

  • Experience: Have been engaged in your initiative for at least 12 months prior to the application date.

  • Commitment: Be fully available to participate in program events throughout the year.

  • Nationality: We welcome nominees from all eligible Global South countries, we are intentionally prioritizing outreach in the following regions: Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, India, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Venezuela, Ghana, and Nigeria.

Exclusions:

  • Current BacharLorai Global Team members are ineligible.

  • First relatives of the BacharLorai Board of Trustees are ineligible.

  • Unethical use of AI will render an application ineligible.

Every applicant is evaluated through a rigorous, multi-stage process based on three strengths. Show us the full story!

1. Measurable Impact

We assess the verifiable results and the sustainability of your work.

  • Results: Clear evidence of demonstrated outcomes and measurable change.

  • Vision: A clear, realistic plan for scaling, deepening, or sustaining your impact over the next 3–5 years.

2. Leadership Story

We seek authentic leaders whose journeys reflect their commitment.

  • Authenticity: A compelling personal narrative that demonstrates lived experience or proximity to the issue.

  • Determination: Evidence of initiative, perseverance, integrity, and strong problem-solving in your role.

3. Innovation

We value creative solutions that challenge the status quo.

  • Originality: New ideas, original models, or approaches that address root causes.

  • Methodology: Impactful use of cultural, technological, or grassroots tools, including the responsible application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance efficiency and scale.

  2. A Personal Statement (your core narrative).

  3. A reference letter or endorsement (Optional - highly recommended).

  • You can apply provided you are 25 years old or younger as of March 15, 2026 (the date of the Awards Ceremony).

  • You can apply provided you will be 18 years old or older as of March 15, 2026 (the date of the Virtual Awards Ceremony).

  • Yes, you can apply as a diaspora candidate. This requires you to prove that your initiative directly benefits your country of origin and that you have at least 5 years of sustained engagement with that community or cause. You must also include a note explaining your citizenship situation and provide verifiable proof of your ongoing association with the country you are applying for.

  • Yes, absolutely. Applicants from all eligible Global South countries are welcome to apply. All candidates are assessed with equity, regardless of whether they are from our targeted outreach countries or not.

  • No. Unfortunately, we cannot process any applications submitted outside of the official timeline. We invite you to apply again next year.

  • No. Only applications submitted through the official online form will be considered.

  • We only allow one representative per initiative. We will contact all candidates involved via email, notifying them of the situation and asking them to mutually decide who will be chosen as the official representative for the application.

  • No, it is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended. An endorsement serves as excellent supporting material to verify your involvement and impact.
