About the Global Impact Fund

The 2025–2026 Global Impact Fund (GIF) marked a milestone year for BacharLorai Global through the integration of two distinct funding streams supporting community-centered humanitarian interventions across Bangladesh.

Through the Schoenl Family Fund, BacharLorai independently implemented WASH and Deep Tube Well infrastructure projects in climate-vulnerable riverbank communities facing sanitation insecurity, water scarcity, and displacement risks caused by embankment erosion and environmental instability.

Alongside this, the fellows’ crowdfunding efforts supported the launch of a sewing machine distribution and livelihood training initiative in partnership with It’s Humanity Foundation (IHF).

All three initiatives were designed around long-term sustainability and continued community use rather than one-time relief support. Communities involved across each project site agreed to ongoing maintenance and stewardship of the implemented resources.
