Policy
Focus

Recent student protests in Bangladesh, driven by frustrations over high youth unemployment, led to the government's resignation.

According to the 2022 Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, 41% of youth aged 15-24 were inactive, not engaged in education, employment, or training, with girls disproportionately affected at 61.71%.

Despite reforms, the situation remains a stalemate, making youth unemployment a critical policy challenge for the country.
