Context
With over one-third of Bangladesh’s population under the age of 30, youth represent a critical demographic force in the country’s progress. However, they continue to face persistent barriers such as limited employment opportunities, restricted participation in decision-making, gender inequality, and growing vulnerability to climate change.
As part of the National Youth Conference 2025, I along with other young leaders actively contributed to creating a national platform that amplified the voices of young people from all 64 districts. Our involvement focused on organizing and facilitating meaningful engagement between youth delegates, government ministries, civil society, private sector actors, and international partners. During the conference, I also shared my experiences as a youth participant, demonstrating leadership in addressing national challenges.
Through the training and preparation sessions, I worked alongside other young leaders who were equally committed to advancing inclusive participation and social accountability. Together, we engaged in group presentations and discussions that reflected our shared vision for a more equitable and resilient Bangladesh. Our collective contribution helped strengthen the event’s impact as a strategic advocacy and accountability platform, bridging the gap between policy commitments and the real experiences of youth across the country.
